One of my best friends Staci came and took pictures of baby Noah last weekend. She was so patient and did such an amazing job. You can see the pictures here. Thanks so much Staci, you are so talented and such a great friend.

Baby Noah

Baby Noah joined our family on September 8th at 8:11 p.m after about 24 hours of labor. He weighed in at 8 pounds 11 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. He is a big healthy boy! I feel so blessed to be his mom. He is such a good baby (knock on wood). He has lots of hair and two dimples that I can't get enough of. He looks just like his dad. Randy is already an awesome dad. We both feel so lucky to have this little guy in our home.

I'll Miss You...

My sweet grandmother passed away about a week ago and we had her funeral on Saturday. It was sad to say goodbye but I'm so happy for her. She is in a better place now and reunited with my grandfather after 14 long years. She got to live a long and full life while she was here. I feel so fortunate that I was able to spend a lot of time with her, especially over the last few years. She had so many wonderful characteristics that I hope to have too someday. I'm grateful for the knowlegde I have of life after this and that I will get to see her again.
Just as I'm saying goodbye to someone I love so much, I'm getting ready to meet someone new that I will also love so much. Our little boy is due in less than four weeks. I am so excited and nervous for him to get here. I can't wait to be a mom. I hope our baby has a chance to meet his great-grandmother in heaven before he gets here. I think he will.

Two Trips in 10 Days

I just got back from two trips that were literally back to back. I got home from New York on Sunday night and left with Randy for Puerto Rico on Monday night. I have no idea why I planned the two so close together but it all worked out. It has taken me a few days to recover, but they were both so much fun!

The first trip was with my 7 best friends from High School. We went to New York and stayed with one of our friends that is living there. We all stayed at her huge apartment right by the Hudson River. Her bedroom was so big we were able to fit one bed, two blow-up mattresses, and one futon in there. It was a slumber party every night. We did so many fun things: NYC Ballet, Mary Poppins on Broadway, shopped til we dropped, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, kayaked on the Hudson River, ate really amazing food, the list could go on and on. Here are a few pictures from the trip. You will notice that my tummy (and everything else) is getting very big. I'm just starting the 3rd trimester!
The second trip was our "last honeymoon" before having the baby. Me and Randy went to Puerto Rico. We stayed right on the beach. We relaxed by the pool/beach a couple of days and went exploring a couple of days. It was perfect. Well, except for the bugs. We both got our fair share of bug bites. A few of them are still itching.Old San Juan

It's a ....

It's official, we are having a baby boy! We went to the ultrasound on Thursday and got to see our baby and the proof he's a boy! We are so excited! It was amazing to see his profile and his hands and feet moving around. I think it looks like he has Randy's cute button nose. He (and my tummy) are growing everyday. I have to do a double take when I see my baby bump in a reflection. Is that me? Am I really pregnant? Randy is already dreaming of all of the fun "guy stuff" he can do with him. He is going to be such a great dad!

We're back... with some news

Wow! I can't believe it's been two months since I've posted anything. I have been a slacker but I sort of have a good reason...

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!

Our baby is due in September and we are so excited. The last few months have been really slow but I'm happy to be out of the first trimester and feeling better. Randy has been so patient with me. My favorite saying is "I'm pregnant" It works as an excuse for almost anything. Such as: not making dinner, wearing pj's all day, eating strange food, crying for no reason, going to bed really early, being moody, etc. To tell you the truth, I think he's a little jealous he can't use it as an excuse!

I'm at the stage where I look like I've put on a few pounds but it's not obvious that I'm pregnant. It may sound weird but I'm actually excited to get a big belly and look pregnant. We will find out if we are having a boy or a girl very soon. Can't wait!

Sleigh Ride!

Randy and I had a fun little adventure on Friday night. For Randy's birthday I surprised him with a sleigh ride. We went to Park City and took a horse-drawn sleigh up a mountain to a restaurant. We ate a scrumptious dinner and listened to live music. Then we bundled up and took the sleigh back down. It was so romantic! One of the sleighs coming up behind us

Holiday Pictures

Here are some pictures from our Christmas through New Years. I could give a detailed account of all the fun stuff we did but I'm kind of lazy so I'll just post a few pictures. Hope everyone had a great New Year!
